For institutions
Your customer’s identity is more than documents that can be forged or passwords that can be stolen. Their bank, employer, insurance carrier, and phone company have established trusted relationships with them over years. Associated ID™ lets those institutions confirm those relationships to you, so you can verify your customer's identity, safely, securely and in seconds, with one tap on their phone.
Before An Account Opens Or Money Moves
Know that your customer is who they say they are before an account opens or money moves. Associated ID allows you to verify identity through a network of institutions that already have established, trusted relationships with your customer. A stolen document, password, or Social Security number may fool one institution, but it can’t replicate years of real relationships across multiple institutions. Associated ID strengthens your KYC at a fraction of the cost, without creating a new database to steal: the data stays securely with the institutions that already hold it.
To fake a customer, a thief would have to break into every institution that knows them, all at once. Today you stand alone against a stolen file. With Associated ID, every institution that already knows your customer stands with you.
The Problem, In Three Figures
~$40 billion: Deloitte's projection of what generative-AI-enabled fraud could cost US banks by 2027. (Deloitte Center for Financial Services)
8.3 percent: The share of digital account-creation attempts suspected of fraud in 2025, the highest-risk stage. (TransUnion, H1 2026 Update to the Top Fraud Trends Report)
~90 percent: BCG's projection of how much agentic AI could cut the cost of running a scam within two years, with fraud volume doubling or more. (BCG, How Agentic AI Will Industrialize Financial Scams, June 2026)
Figures are third-party estimates and projections included to size the problem, not Associated ID performance claims.
Where Associated ID Sits In The Sign Up Process
-
Inside your own account opening process, after the KYC documents are submitted.
-
Your customer taps once.
-
The institutions that know and trust them answer in seconds.
-
You set how many answers are enough to open the account.
To fake a customer, a thief would have to break into every institution that knows them, all at once; and Associated ID keeps no file on them and no central identity database, so there is nothing new to steal.
What Associated ID Is And Is Not
Associated ID is content-blind identity verification infrastructure. It is not a data broker, not a transaction rail, and not a scoring engine. Your institution runs its KYC as it always has. Associated ID adds a confirmation layer: independent confirmation from institutions that already know the applicant. Your institution decides what that confirmation is worth. Associated ID is designed not to read the confirmations it carries, and it holds no central identity database.
Where It Applies
- Banking and payments: Confirm a counterparty's relationships and authority at the moments that matter: signer authority ahead of an irreversible high-value wire, or step-up checks at high-risk login and onboarding.
- Insurance: Confirm that a prior-carrier policy is active, a producer's license is current, or a claimant's payout account belongs to the right party, without exchanging the underlying records.
- Government and public sector: Confirm a beneficiary's account ownership before a disbursement, or a professional license for cross-state reciprocity, while the determination stays with the agency.
- Healthcare: Carry verification confirmations, not clinical-record content; confirm identity-relevant facts between authorized institutions without creating a new data honeypot.
- Real estate and title: Confirm a seller's or closing agent's account and institutional authority are genuine before a settlement wire moves.
- AI-agent identity: Confirm that a named, verified sponsor has authorized an AI agent, content-blind. Read: Step one is identity
